Why I Lead with Super 8 (And How Digital Can Support It)
When it comes to wedding videography, the options can feel endless: highlight reels, teasers, full edits, raw footage. Knowing what you actually want (or need) can be confusing. What I offer is simple by design: a Super 8-first experience with thoughtful digital add-ons available.
The most important distinction I make is that digital supports the film, not the other way around.

A Filmmaker’s Approach to Wedding Video
I come from a film editing background. My husband, who serves as my digital second shooter, is also a filmmaker with a strong documentary instinct shaped by a career in the YouTube space. Together, we’ve produced independent films and bring that same mindset to weddings. We shoot lean, on the fly, and with an editor’s eye for visual storytelling. With quality gear, but no overbuilt rigs or staged scenes.
What’s Included in Every Super 8 Wedding Film
All packages (including the Super 8 only package) include:
Two cinematographers
A 2-5 minute highlight film (about the length of one song): A montage-style recap of the day
A longer silent Super 8 sequence: Every shot is individually color-corrected and delivered in full, so you have all those moments to look back on
While I recommend at least 8 hours of coverage and two cinematographers to fully tell your story, I’m happy to customize a package for local Atlanta weddings to better fit your videography budget. Reach out here.

Digital Add-Ons
Option 1: Stylized + Blended
If you want a wedding film that feels nostalgic and unique to you, where digital moments (with audio) are seamlessly integrated into Super 8 footage, this package is for you.
In addition to the longer silent Super 8 sequence, you’ll receive:
A blended highlight film: Select digital clips are interwoven with Super 8 footage in the montage-style recap.
A 12+ minute documentary edit: A curated edit featuring longer key moments from first looks, vows, toasts, and other meaningful or fun parts of the day. Audio is layered throughout to give the film structure and rhythm. This edit is an artistic play-by-play of your day, capturing the story and feel of how it all unfolded.
Cohesive vintage look: this package pairs handheld digital footage with Super 8, unified through subtle grading that complements rather than mimic the film aesthetic.
Curious what a documentary edit looks like? I’m happy to share examples.
Documentary Excerpt (Left: Color Corrected | Right: Original Footage)
Option 2: Simple + Archival
If you want a clean, uncut record of your ceremony, toasts, and dances, this package is for you.
In addition to the longer silent Super 8 sequence, you’ll receive:
Super 8 highlight film: The montage-style recap captured entirely on Super 8.
Archival footage: Full recordings of your ceremony, toasts, and dances shot on a tripod. No edits or music, just the full moment in real time.
Two approaches in one package: a visual reflection and an unedited record.
This is a new offering for couples starting in 2025. Inquire for more info.
Why I Don’t Offer Everything All Together
During the wedding day, I aim to strike a balance by staying as unobtrusive as possible so you can be fully in the moment, while gathering the footage needed to thoughtfully and creatively rebuild your wedding memories in the edit. I don’t offer these two options combined because doing so would take away from this aim by either requiring a larger team or resulting in footage that feels out of step with the dynamic, organic nature of Super 8 film.
Does this approach to wedding videography sound like the right fit for you and your day? I’d love to hear from you!
